I am a licensed psychotherapist and have been in practice for over twenty years in Seattle. Individuals come to therapy for many reasons. Sometimes an individual is searching for more meaning or intimacy in one’s life, or one is dealing with an immediate problem that needs to be resolved. Regardless of the reason, psychotherapy offers a confidential setting in which to grow and change.

The client and therapist enter into a relationship in which the therapist creates a safe place for the client to explore feelings, ideas, and thoughts. The therapeutic process may include increasing the client’s understanding of how the past influences the present. This process may also include becoming more aware of unknown parts of oneself. The therapist is committed to this inner exploration whereby the client is able to live his or her life more fully.

My work as a therapist centers on the transitions we encounter in our lives: work and career changes; emerging adulthood and graduating from college; marriage and partnerships; raising children; divorce; mid life issues, the aging process; personal illness; and caring for aging parents. My work also addresses challenges that clients face in the high tech sector and multicultural issues. While my focus is psychodynamic and Jungian in orientation, I also utilize guided imagery, dream work, meditation, and other modalities depending on client interest.

I received by B.A. from Antioch College in Yellow Springs, Ohio, and my Masters in Psychology from Antioch University in Seattle. I completed certificate programs at the University of WA in Child & Adolescent Mental Heath and Geriatric Mental Health. I am a member of the Jungian Psychotherapists Association and the NW Alliance for Psychoanalytic Study.
